Family Photography

What should we wear?

Being comfortable is important so make sure you wear something you all feel good in

For coordinating colors, a simple base is to pick a shirt/dress with a pattern for one family member and build the rest of the outfit based on the colors in the pattern.

Don't fret! If you need more help, I am more than happy to assist you in picking out what your family can wear.

What does a Family Session look like?

It starts with you remembering how amazing your family is and remembering that you are about to have so much fun together!

We will meet at the location and get to know each other while I take photos of all the combinations of family members. I will be encouraging a little silliness and working hard to capture who your family is when they are together.

We don't usually take photos longer than 45-60 minutes as smiles tend to tire by then.

Can we bring our dogs?

I LOVE dogs! Just let me know that's the plan so I can be sure we are going to a dog-friendly location.

You know your furry family better than I do, so if they are comfortable with strangers, bring them along with some treats and if you want any poses without the dogs, then you need to also have someone come along to wrangle the pups when we are taking human-only photos.

If you aren't sure if it will go well, it might be best to leave them at home.

How many outfits should we bring?

I allow time for some outfit changes! Bring at least two outfits or shirts to change into so we can have a couple different looks.

Keep in mind: Many places have no where to change so consider bringing a blanket to create a makeshift changing room.

I bring my wagon along for senior sessions to help carry everything (except at the beach-I don't have off road wheels, unfortunately!)

What other props look good to bring along?

Some often used items to bring along....

  • Letterman jacket

  • Cap and Gown (if you don't have one yet, I have a black generic one I can bring)

  • Extracurricular activity equipment like a ball, pom poms, books you love, medals you want to show off etc.

  • College pennant or sweatshirt to let people know where you are heading after high school

Who should I bring with me?

Who you bring along with you is an important decision.

Parents are always welcome! I will often ask Mom and/or Dad to hop in a photo or two because they are proud of their student.

You can also bring a friend who will hype you up, encourage you, make you laugh and support you without taking the attention away from our goal of marking this amazing moment in your life.

Sports Banners / Media Day

Where do you take banner photos?

All I need is even outdoor light with a blank wall behind the athlete.

The background of the banner traditionally is replaced with a digital background.

Can I customize my banner background?

Absolutely! I have a handful of templates I have used that can be tweaked and changed as well as options to follow a theme or design that lines up with your team's focus that year.

We can always take photos on site that only have words added digitally and we keep the background of the photos. I want these banners to make your athletes happy!

What is a Sports Media Day Shoot?

For a Media Day, we will set up with some lights and either a solid black backdrop or with the field or playing location in the background. Athletes are encouraged to be fierce, look intense and adopt a

"Let's Win" look.

Additionally we will also take some silly photos and poses with teammate friends.

Pricing is a flat rate for the organization to use the photos on social and print media and a sitting fee for each athlete.

Do you need a VIP List of people?

If there is a specific list of people that absolutely need to be captured, a VIP Shot list is preferred as well as a contact person at the event who can help me navigate my way through the event and find everyone.

If you are looking for general coverage of an event, you can be assured that I make it to every corner of the event and you will get full coverage of the gathering with all who attended.

What information do you need before booking?

Location, proposed date, size of the event and how long you want me on site photographing.

Pricing is based on travel requirements, time requested and size of the event (in case a second photographer is needed) and will all be clearly discussed when we are in contact before the event.
